Choose a passage on the Priesthood of christ and discernment of a vocation. The major paper is on a major NT theme. It will analyze this theme using 1-2 passages (for example Matthew 5: 2-4) and the tools we are learning in class. This discussion tries to get the ball rolling. We will do the following this week: 1. In a detailed paragraph, explain your proposed term paper topic. The description of the assignment is in the doc sharing area. It will be a detailed analysis of 1 NT passage based on a theme of your interest. Write this as an interesting thesis statement or a specific question to be answered. Then include a description of why you are interested in this topic and some of the possible applications to our contemporary world might be. The passage should not be too long (perhaps 2-5 verses tops).
2. Then, take a look at what Brown offers in terms of your passage from that specific chapter in the text. 3. The peer replies can be offering feedback on resources, biblical passages or other potential applications that might derive from this topic.Brown, Raymond E. An Introduction to the New Testament.
