Where we work is one of the most important life decisions we make. Careers consume a great deal of time and attention to maintain good standing, keep up with new developments in the field, and ensure the communities we work with are supportive for our emotional and physical health.
Consider some of the options many career options offer today:
- Working on site or remotely
- Working in teams or self-directed duties
- On-site daycare or daycare cost allowances
- Health insurance
- Gym memberships
- Discounts for major purchases
- Financing discounts for auto loans
Next, consider other options that would uniquely benefit you:
- Tuition reimbursement for to pursue a graduate degree
- Student Loan payment assistance
- Hiring bonuses
Finally, consider elements of the work environment itself:
- Freedom in decision making
- Upper-level support and recognition for hard work
- An atmosphere of encouragement
In your initial post, create a well-developed paragraph detailing your dream job and what specifics you are looking for in a long-term employment provider from the bullet lists above or create your own key points.
In a second paragraph, explore what elements of the P.R.I.C.E. model do you hope to find in this employer and what elements you will bring to the working community you will be joining? If the P.R.I.C.E. model were part of the interviewing process, which element would you choose to best represent your contribution to their working environment and why would you choose it?
